Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center was built in December 2018. With the theme of “Tradition x Innovation,” it was built as a place that not only preserves the traditions that have been passed down through the ages, but also accepts diverse cultures and values, creates new culture, and contributes to the revitalization of Shinto shrines and Japanese culture.<\/em><\/p>\n

A za show opened on the first basement floor of this cultural exchange center in March 2019. Taira Masakado is the deity of Kanda Myojin Shrine. His love for his people and family, his fight to eliminate conflict, and his hopes for the future of Masakado, who was labeled a rebel and turned into a demon in anger, resting in Otemachi and Bando City, Tokyo, are the story told by the za show team “Kai,” who uses sword fighting, action, dance and acting to perform the show.<\/em><\/p>\n

Since the start of the viral pandemic in 2020, we have had to close and shorten our business hours repeatedly, but in an effort to dispel the chaos that has been felt in the world, Za Show has sought out new forms of entertainment and is now broadcasting new nighttime entertainment, including video content, from here at Kanda Myojin Shrine.<\/em><\/p>\n

In 2020, we formed the team “Yui”, which is composed entirely of female performers, and have been performing the play “Ono no Komachi” since December 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n

Due to its location, Kanda Myojin Shrine is easily accessible to overseas customers. <The latest AI technology creates a collaboration between video and live shows><\/em><\/p>\n

“MASAKADO,” which has been running since July 2020, will reach its final performance in February 2025, and a new show will finally start on Friday, March 7, 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n

The biggest highlight of this event will be the video produced by world-renowned video creator Akihiro Miyagi using the latest AI technology. The powerful video will be combined with live performances, sword fights, and action scenes to create a new form of entertainment.<\/em><\/p>\n

This is the first time that you can enjoy a show while eating and drinking, so be sure to enjoy the Japanese staging packed with dance, sword fighting, action and acting along with the powerful visuals.<\/em><\/p>\n

We hope that this performance will carry Taira no Masakado’s thoughts into the present and future, and help spread love and courage from Kanda Myojin Shrine to the whole world.<\/em><\/p>\n
