What was 3331, which has been active for 12 years as an art center open to the community?

The final large-scale exhibition that can be deciphered from a huge amount of materials

3331 Arts Chiyoda is pleased to announce the special exhibition "3331 has transformed art into ' '".
3331 Arts Chiyoda opened in 2010 as an alternative art center open to the local community, and will temporarily end its role on March 31, 2023. What kind of role has 3331 Arts Chiyoda played in the community, daily life, and the field of culture and art as one of the cultural transmission bases in Chiyoda Ward, while being in line with the social situation as a cultural facility of a new era? This exhibition looks back on the activities of 3331 Arts Chiyoda over the past 12 years, and is an attempt to illuminate the diverse activities of the museum, which has deviated from art, opened itself to the city, and continued to grow.
In 2011, shortly after the museum opened, the Great East Japan Earthquake struck, and now in 2023, when the museum is about to close, it has been a strange 12 years in the midst of the corona disaster. Because of this, it has continued to interact with many people as a place of culture that dwells in daily life and a place of special expression.
The activities of 3331 Arts Chiyoda can only be put into words by the people of Chiyoda Ward who have supported our activities over the years, our users, and everyone who has visited our museum even once. As a token of our gratitude, we would like to ask you to add your own words to the “ ” part of the title of this exhibition. In the exhibition room, we will prepare a wall on which these words can be posted. We hope that you will visit us and complete the exhibition with your own hands. In addition, during the exhibition period, various related events such as secret auctions of art works, various tours around the museum, walking around town, and live performances will be held so that you can fully enjoy the charm of 3331 Arts Chiyoda. We look forward to seeing you there.
