HoYoverse, a globally expanding interactive entertainment brand, has announced a variety of new projects to commemorate the 6th anniversary of its multi-platform open-world RPG, Genshin Impact. Details of each project will be announced, including the release of the Genshin Impact 6th anniversary theme song sung by Takanori Nishikawa, the implementation of a nationwide advertising campaign in train stations and outdoors to celebrate the 6th anniversary, and the opening of Genshin Impact's first permanent cafe in 2027.

To coincide with Genshin Impact's 6th anniversary today, September 28th (Monday), the 6th anniversary theme song, "Memories of the Wind," has been released on the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel.

For the Japanese version of this song, we were fortunate to have Takanori Nishikawa, the artist best known for his role as Kazuto Araki in Genshin Impact, participate in the vocals.

Artist Introduction

Takanori Nishikawa

Born September 19, 1970. From Shiga Prefecture.

In 1996, he debuted as a solo project "TMRevolution" with the song "Dokusai -monopolize-". Since then, he has had numerous hit songs, including "HOT LIMIT," which has surpassed 100 million streams, as well as "HIGH PRESSURE," "WHITE BREATH," and "INVOKE."

In 2018, he began his music career in earnest under the name "Takanori Nishikawa." His 2024 release "FREEDOM" became a long-running hit. In March 2025, he released his 3rd album, "SINGularity III -VOYAGE-."

In 2026, his performance of "HOT LIMIT" on "THE FIRST TAKE" became the fastest video on the channel to surpass 10 million views. Starting in July, he will be holding two revival tours concurrently: "TMR LIVE REVOLUTION '26-'27 REWIND OF CLOUD NINE" and "TMR LIVE REVOLUTION '26-'27 REWIND OF Joker Type 2".

He continues to take on new challenges in a wide range of fields, including acting, voice acting, and hosting television programs.

In 2008, he was appointed "Shiga Hometown Tourism Ambassador" by his hometown of Shiga Prefecture, and from 2009 he organized "FEST. INAZUMA" (known as "Inazuma Rock Fes" until 2025), the prefecture's first large-scale outdoor music event, which has been held annually in Shiga Prefecture ever since with the cooperation of local governments.

Received the Shiga Prefecture Cultural Merit Award in 2020. Received the Yasushi City Citizen's Honor Award in November 2024.
