The Akihabara Tourism Promotion Association (Chairman: Tomio Izumi, hereinafter referred to as ATPA), a non-profit organization, will hold the "AKIBA Subculture Summit @ Kanda Myojin 2023" (hereinafter referred to as the "Subculture Summit") in 2023 with the theme of "Thinking about the future of Akihabara Chuo-dori." It will be held at the Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center on November 10th. In addition, as an initiative to expand the use of parks, etc., continuing from last year, "Akihabara Nigiwai Hiroba 2023" (hereinafter referred to as Nigiwai Hiroba) will be held at Akihabara Park on Saturday, November 11th and Sunday, November 12th, 2023. Masu.
Although many foreign tourists visit Akihabara, the reception system and environment are still insufficient. If we do not increase visitor satisfaction and increase the number of repeat visitors, the city will decline. Our association will actively promote the following activities to evolve the city.
・Use the Akihabara brand to attract customers, introduce the latest Akihabara to visitors, experience it, and promote consumption expansion.
・Promoting interaction between subculture businesses and the platinum generation and children of Chiyoda Ward with the cooperation of businesses in the city
・Promotion of activities introduced by national guide interpreters who guide subcultures and the history and culture of the city in foreign languages.
Akihabara is always evolving!
We would like to develop the “AKIBA Subculture Summit'' into an event that attracts otaku from all over the world, and the “Akihabara Nigiwai Hiroba'' into an outdoor event where we can introduce the various services and goods available in Akihabara.
