A new spot where you can experience the charm of model trains with all five senses has opened in Akihabara! “Tomix Showroom Tokyo Akihabara” opens on Thursday, June 5, 2025

Tommytec Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Michio Iwatsuki, Location: Shimotsuga District, Tochigi Prefecture), a member of the Takara Tomy Group, will open the new "Tomix Showroom Tokyo Akihabara" in Akihabara, Tokyo on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

The Tomix Showroom Tokyo, which opened in Kanda in July 2019 and closed on Sunday, May 4, 2025, will be renovated and relocated to Akihabara, known as the "holy land of global hobbies."

In order to allow not only railway model fans but also those who are experiencing railway models for the first time to experience the charm of railway models with all five senses, we will set up a diorama using Tomix's N gauge vehicles and Tomytec's railway model-related products, an archive exhibition, a hobby space, a player zone, etc. In addition, we will be posting the latest information and how to enjoy railway models through the official SNS of "Tomix Showroom Tokyo Akihabara".

♢♦1st floor: Welcome area, Tomix Legacy Studio♦♢

・Welcome Board: A panel designed with a Tomix vehicle case sleeve, which you can take photos to commemorate your visit.

– Tomix Legacy Studio: In addition to explanations of model trains and the history of Tomix through panels and projector images, the studio offers a deeper insight into the world of model trains through beautiful dioramas that recreate actual landscapes and an archive of products that were previously sold.

♢♦2nd floor: DEN room, players' zone, product display♦♢

・The coveted Tomix DEN Room*: This hobby space is modeled after the room of a train modeler, as depicted in past catalogs and other publications, where the modeler enjoys his or her hobbies like a secret base in a corner of their home.

[※] What is a DEN room? "DEN" means "den" or "hideout" in English, and is an architectural term that refers to a small room or space that does not meet the standards for a living space. Here, it is expressed as a space where model railroad users can immerse themselves in their hobby.

・Players Zone: This is a place where you can actually touch and enjoy Tomix products. Staff will provide specific suggestions on how to play with them and their appeal, including demonstrations. In addition, we will also share the fun of playing with them on our official SNS accounts.

There are several mini dioramas on display, allowing you to enjoy a variety of different scenes. The contents change according to the season and events.

・Product Display: This is an exhibition corner that mainly displays new products such as Tomix's N gauge vehicles and Geocolle.

・Tomix Diorama: A huge diorama featuring Tomix products, relocated from the Kanda showroom. You can see model trains running.
