It has been about a year since the introduction of meat substitutes to the first yakiniku restaurant in Japan. Sold from January 18th (Tuesday)

Next Meets Co., Ltd. has 71 stores of "Yakiniku-like", which is operated by Yakiniku-like Co., Ltd. and has the concept of fast food of yakiniku. "NEXT Large Format Calvi 2.0", which is close to meat, was released on January 18, 2022 (Tuesday, only at Sapporo Tanukikoji store). We have prepared from 50g (320 yen including tax) separately, so you can feel free to try alternative meats.

Demand for alternative foods is expanding due to growing SDGs and health awareness. The modern food system has a great impact on environmental problems such as global warming, and plant-based alternative foods are also one of the major keys to the realization of a sustainable society. 2020 is also called the first year of meat substitutes, and meat substitutes have begun to appear, and in 2021 last year, they came to the spotlight in earnest and can be found in various supermarkets and restaurants.

With the philosophy of "not ending the earth", NEXT METS is working on solving climate change problems at Food Tech for a bright future for children. We have released chicken-type alternative meats such as "NEXT Chicken".
Not only vegetarians and vegans, but also general consumers who like meat want to eat it, so in October 2020, the meat substitute "NEXT Calvi" will be sold at some yakiniku-like stores. In December of the same year, it expanded to all stores as it became a hot topic on Instagram and other SNS and received more feedback than expected. Thanks to you, it has been featured in many media so far and is still on sale.

And this time, it was decided to move to "NEXT Calvi 2.0", which was upgraded in October last year, even with yakiniku-like. "NEXT Large Format Calvi 2.0" sold at Yakiniku-like is served with a vegetable sauce originally developed by Yakiniku-like, so you can enjoy the taste only at the restaurant.

We hope that meat lovers will enjoy the delicious meat substitutes that are closer to the texture and flavor of the meat.

  • NEXT Large Format Calvi 2.0 Evolved Points
  • The "NEXT Calvi 2.0" meat substitute for yakiniku, which was upgraded in October last year, is a product that has been completed after a development period of about one year.
This time, it will be offered as "NEXT Large Format Kalbi 2.0" with its own sauce like yakiniku, but the following three points have evolved from the "NEXT Kalbi" that has been offered like yakiniku so far.

    ① Greatly improved texture
By increasing the protein content, which greatly affects the texture, the texture has improved and the meat has become more chewy.

② For a larger size that is more meaty
The binding (sticking condition) has been improved by increasing the protein content, achieving an unprecedented meat-like size and size.

③ Devise the seasoning to make the meat taste
By devising and improving the seasoning, the soybean odor has completely disappeared, making it even more meaty.

    * In terms of nutrition, fat is nearly one-eighth and protein is more than twice that of general grilled meat (beef ribs) (estimated value).

  • About the food tech venture "Next Meets" from Japan
  • Under the corporate philosophy of "Do not end the earth", we will explode our business activities in the field of food tech in order to tackle the problem of climate change.
Two co-founders started research in 2017, incorporated in June 2020 when the product was completed, and listed on OTCBB in the United States under the SPAC scheme in January 2021. From the perspective that "climate change problems cannot be solved by Japan alone," we have expanded into more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
We have sold the world's first meat substitute "NEXT Yakiniku" series, 100% vegetable rice bowl "NEXT rice bowl", and chicken-type meat substitute "NEXT chicken". We are also promoting collaboration with companies in different industries, such as launching collaboration products with Euglena and announcing a partnership with Yoshimoto Kogyo. In March 2021, it was the only Japanese company to be selected as one of the 21 VegTech companies in the world. The R & D center "NEXT Lab" in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, is engaged in research and development of a wide range of alternative proteins, not limited to soybeans.
In 2022, in addition to NEXT sweets, which is being promoted in collaboration with Chef Tsujiguchi in Japan, we will also proceed with the construction of the "NEXT Factory," a factory specializing in the manufacture of alternative meats. It is about to be listed and is expected to grow further.
